2004

Our Costa Rica trip covered only a small portion of the country. We flew into San Jose where we picked up our rental 4x4. The 4x4 was a good idea as some of the roads were crazy rough and I'm pretty sure some of the potholes were visible from the moon. We travelled up through the mountains, into the Monteverde Cloud Forest and on to Mount Arenal the most spectacular of Costa Rica's volcanos. From there we headed for the coast on the Bay of Papagayo in the north corner of the country to chill out for a couple weeks.
